Description
On-demand heating that keeps your equipment area compact. The JX130 brings fan-assisted gas heating and digital temperature control to a wall-mounted cabinet, making it a useful option where equipment space is limited.
This listing is the outdoor natural gas model, part number 10960. Choose the separate indoor model if your heater will be installed inside a building.
Key benefits
- Wall-mounted layout: Keeps the heater off the equipment pad and can make better use of a suitable wall beside your filtration equipment.
- Fan-assisted operation: A powered draught supports a compact heater design and the required flue arrangement.
- Cupro-nickel heat exchanger: Finned tubes provide efficient heat transfer and corrosion resistance when the water is correctly balanced.
- Stainless steel burners: Venturi burners distribute the flame across the heat exchanger.
- Digital temperature control: Electronic ignition and thermostat control make it straightforward to select and monitor your pool or spa temperature.
- Outdoor installation: The outdoor version uses its specified front flue outlet; the location must satisfy the manual’s ventilation and clearance requirements.

Selecting your JX model
The JX130 is the smaller of the two JX sizes. For a larger water volume or a more demanding warm-up target, compare the JX160 before making your selection. Actual heating time depends on the pool or spa volume, temperature rise, cover use and heat loss.
Installation and controls
This outdoor version is not suitable for an indoor installation. Your installer must confirm the wall support, gas supply, flue outlet location, clearances and water flow before installation.
For integration with an AstralPool control system, have your installer confirm the compatible controller and communication connections required for your setup.
Installation and commissioning must be completed by a licensed gas fitter in accordance with the instructions supplied with the heater. Maintain the specified water chemistry, including a maximum salinity of 4,000 ppm.
